Methodology
How we score
There's one goal: is this shawarma worth your money and the trip? We're not a pretentious guide — it's yours. Scores come from the community.
So far: 1566 places in 138 138 cities.
Yours, not ours
The Shaorma Score belongs to the community
A critic in an office doesn't give it — it's the weighted average of your votes, rescaled to a score out of 10, always shown with the number of votes behind it. Below a minimum vote threshold, a place shows as Unrated — still collecting votes, never a made-up number.

What you rate
No stars, no 1–5 ratings. You give a 👍 or 👎 on each category that matters — one tap, not a dilemma. All categories feed the Shaorma Score with equal weight: none counts more than another.

Shaorma Pass
Verified visits count more
A vote from someone who was actually there counts more. With Shaorma Pass you scan a QR at the venue — your visit is verified and your vote carries more weight. That way nobody can inflate a score from the couch.

Anti-fraud
How we keep it honest
One account, one vote per venue (editable). New accounts count a little; verified visits count a lot. A suspicious wave of votes is set aside and checked. A score appears only after enough votes, and owners can't vote for their own venue.
Freshness
Scores aren't set in stone
Scores move as you vote. Places change — new owner, new cook, a bad day — and on each venue page you see how fresh the data is. We don't sell top spots: if a place ever pays for a profile, it will be clearly marked — and still can't buy its score.

Who gives the score, exactly?
You do. The Shaorma Score is the community's weighted average, not a critic's opinion from an office. Each account gets one vote per venue, and verified votes count more.
How do you stop fake votes?
One account, one vote per venue. New accounts count a little; QR-verified visits count a lot. A suspicious wave of votes is set aside and checked, and owners can't vote for their own venue. A score appears only after enough votes — otherwise you see "Unrated".
What is Shaorma Pass and why does it matter?
With Shaorma Pass you scan a QR right at the venue. That way we know you were there, and your vote gets the highest weight. It's the backbone of anti-fraud: you can't inflate a score from the couch.
Can I suggest my own venue?
Yes, please. Hidden gems, neighborhood legends, debatable but iconic spots — we want them all. Submit it via "Add a place" and, after review, it enters the rankings.
Why does place X have a low score?
The score reflects the community's real votes. If the wrap falls apart, the portion's small for the money, or there was a weak period, it shows in the score. Scores move as you vote.
