1.What Shaormap is

Shaormap (the "platform") is a community service for discovering and rating shawarma venues in Romania. Content — scores, reviews, photos, and rankings — comes mostly from users. By using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

2.Your account

To vote, write reviews, or suggest places you need an account. You're responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity in your account. One account belongs to one person and can't be sold or transferred. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.

3.Your votes and content

You remain the owner of content you publish (ratings, reviews, photos). By publishing, you grant us a non-exclusive, free, transferable license to display, store, and use it on the platform and to promote it. You confirm you have the right to publish that content and that it's real and in good faith: one account, one vote per venue, no fake, paid, or self-serving reviews for a venue you own.

4.Conduct rules

On the platform you may not:

• publish false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, or illegal content;
• artificially inflate or lower a venue's score through multiple votes or fake accounts;
• vote or review your own venue or a competitor's;
• harass other users or venue staff;
• scrape data automatically or try to break security measures.

5.About scores and rankings

Scores and rankings represent the community's aggregated opinion at a point in time, not verified facts. We calculate them in good faith (see methodology), but we don't guarantee they're complete or error-free. Rankings stay independent — we don't sell top spots, and if a venue ever pays for a profile, it will be clearly marked.

6.Intellectual property

The brand, logo, design, and code belong to us or are used with permission. You may not copy or use them without written permission. Rights to user-generated content remain with its authors.

7.Limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is". We're not liable for decisions based on scores, reviews, or displayed information (hours, price, menu), which may change without notice. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect damages from using the platform.

8.Corrections and takedowns

If you see wrong information or own a venue and want a correction or takedown, submit a correction from that venue's page (the "Submit a correction" button) or write to us at salut@shaormap.ro and we'll treat the request as a priority.

9.Changes to terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. The current version is always here, with the last update date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
